Goin to the Zoo...How bout you (October 06)

Well, since we found out that our baby will indeed be a boy, we (as in Sarah) have decided on our baby bedding and will decorate the rest of the room accordingly. The bedding is kind of a sage green with white elephants and chocolate brown accents (viewable on our registry at target.com). So we decided to go to the Nashville Zoo and get pictures of various animals and hang black and white photos of them in matted frames around the room. The highlight of the wall decorations will be a framed footprint of an elephant. With this mission, Sarah and I headed to Nashville the only day we had available. Unfortunately, the weather was not very cooperative as it continued to rain throughout our time in Nashville. Only on our way back to Troy did the clouds break up. Like the good husband I am, I gave my raincoat to Sarah and got quite wet while taking pictures. Fortunately, rain seems to make the animals pretty frisky, especially the big cats. We got some great pictures, but several of them blurred due to the necessary slow shutter speed. So, I want to go back when there is some sun so that I can better, unblurred photos of the elephants and giraffes. We are now members of the zoo, so we get to go for free from now on.
